Green Synthesis of Copper Nanoparticles Using Red Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) Extract and Its Antibacterial Activity for Liquid Disinfectant

The effort of copper nanoparticle exploration for antibacterial cleaning agents needs to prevent infection or contamination microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses due its potential characteristic an environmentally benign material. synthesis nanoparticles using 0.02 M Cu(NO3)2 a precursor red dragon fruit extract bioreduction agent has been conducted. extraction process was done by the maceration method methanol solvent. Copper were prepared through green chemistry with reduction method. compound in reduced Cu2+ Cu. experimental performed combination solution mixed volume ratio bioreductor toward variation 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6, 1:7, 1:8, 1:9. mixtures stirred magnetic stirrer 30 minutes then incubated. samples characterized UV-Vis (Ultraviolet-Visible), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared), digital microscope observe morphology. observation continued assess activity potency active disinfectant. analysis showed that absorbance value tended be stable. Particle size estimation smallest 122.12 nm at Functional group shift wavenumber between (CuNPs), indicating functional interaction. results morphological particles fine powder granules produced composition extract: Antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli indicated Cu-nanoparticles 1:9 had given inhibition value.
